Barn Swallow at Welney Wetlands
We walked across the bridge to the part of the reserve which floods during the winter months. There were so many Barn Swallows sitting on the bridge, and many swooping down across the water to feed on insects. Our path led to a few different hides, we had hoped to see a White Stork but he was well hidden. We even visited Welney Village as we were told the stork has been spotted every evening sitting on the top of a post, unfortunately no sighting for us.
