Inchworm?
This skinny little critter appeared whilst I was peeling apples, he was only about 1.5cm in length. I have struggled to identify what it could be. An inchworm perhaps? There appeared to be 3 pairs of legs at the front and maybe one sturdy set at the back? The surface resembled a tiny twig, colouring was beige, brown and hints of pink.

Buff Breasted Sandpiper
Buff Breasted Sandpiper October 2023
Mikes Bird Alert message, loud and clear, drop everything and head to Frampton! Coincidentally that is just where me and Shan had planned to go, oblivious to the fact we may see an assortment of Sandpipers (Semi Palmated, Buff Breasted, White Rumped) Lesser Yellowlegs, and Black Stork to name but a few.
We have never seen so many people at Frampton, their enthusiasm was very exciting to witness and we got swept along with the crowds as the birds were spotted around the reserve. We definitely saw the Buff Breasted Sandpiper and the Lesser Yellowlegs but the jury is out on the White Rumped and Semi Palmated as when we were in the hides they were pointed out to us but to be honest even with decent binoculars they looked the same as the other birds in the group.
